There are childrens' classics such as Frances Hodgson Burnett's The Secret Garden, Beatrix Potter, P L Travers's Mary Poppins, Dodie Smith's One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Astrid Lindgren's Pippi Longstocking, E Nesbitt's The Railway Children, Mary Norton's The Borrowers.. Sally RipponAustralian author Sally Rippon visited the library and talked to the Junior School. Sally writes the popular 'Billie B Brown' series which is a firm favourite with girls, who listened entranced as she described how the character of Billie came to be. Sally then spent quite some time signing books and proved a huge hit with the girls.
