General Guidelines on using the Library
Issues: You can borrow three to five items at a time, depending on your year level. Books are issued for two weeks, magazines overnight and DVDs for one week.
Renewal: An issued item can be renewed twice before needing to be returned to circulation. However if the item has already been reserved by another student it cannot be renewed
Reserves: You can reserve a book that is out to someone else or is currently on display.
Overdues: Items that are out for longer than the specified issue period are deemed overdue. Students are sent a notice to remind them to return their items. Up to three reminder notices are given to the students. If the item is not returned after these reminder notices have been issued it is deemed to be lost and the students account will be charged for replacement of the item. A letter is sent home to the parents/guardians of the student informing them of the lost item and replacement costs.
Renewing an item is quick and easy and stops items from becoming overdue.
Please DO NOT bring food or drinks into the library.
The library is the heart of the school and as such is a great place to meet up with friends to read and participate in clubs and other activities BUT it is also a place of study so please be mindful of other users and keep the noise to an acceptable level.
Students are expected to respect the library as a clean, safe and healthy environment.
